Neighbourhood Fund

Do you have an idea that can make life better where you live? Are you passionate about starting something in your neighbourhood and need a little bit of help to get you going? 

If so, why don’t you apply to the ‘Neighbourhood Fund’, our small grants programme that we run with Active Gloucestershire, as part of their ‘We can Move’ campaign? Small pots of money are available for residents and community groups in a number of areas across Gloucester who want to do something in their community that improves peoples’ wellbeing, stay connected and keep physically active. This could be setting up a gardening group, organising a walking trail, or even running an Easter Egg hunt! Provided it gets people out of their homes, moving more and connecting with others, it will most likely pass the test!  

Guidance  

• You can apply for up to £500 until funds run out.

• Applications are gratefully received from residents or voluntary and community groups in the following areas: 

• Your group doesn’t need to be constituted - you can access the funds through us at the Gloucester Community Building Collective.  

• Eligibility criteria:  

1. It has to be an idea from a resident or group of residents  

2. It should have a positive impact on a group of people or the wider community/neighbourhood  

3. It should connect people and enable them to be more physically active (this can link to overall health & wellbeing)  

Who can apply?  

o Groups of residents or friends  

o Community groups or associations  

o Small charities or community interest companies  

Your application should answer the following questions:  

o What is your idea?  

o How much funding do you need?  

o What will the funding be used for?  

o What impact will it have on your community or neighbourhood?  

o How will it help connect people or help them move more?
